The designated product also meets the following European product safety regulation, as applicable:

  • EN 14372:2004 clause 5.4.2.2 migration of certain element
  • BS EN 14350:2020 childcare articles – drinking equipment – safety requirements and test methods, excluding: clause 8 chemical requirements and test methods; clause 9 consumer packaging; clause 10 product information.
  • Council of Europe Resolution CM/RES (2013)9 on metals and alloys used in food contact materials and articles – migration of metal content

Below are some of the results that we would like to share with you. Before reading through the testings, please read the following explanation about detection limit used in testing labs.

Note:

To understand the test result, we need to understand detection limit used in testing labs. There is no zero detection limit, so the labs will set the detection limit to greater than zero on the testing equipment. For example: lead testing with a 10 ppm detection limit and <10 ppm testing result means there possibly is zero to less than 10 ppm of lead in the stainless steel. If the existence of zero lead can not be proven due to the detection limit used in the labs, then no one can claim a product as "lead free" .

Total lead in substrate

Test Method: CPSC-CH-E1001-08.3 standard operating procedure for determining total lead (Pb) in children’s metal products (Including children’s metal jewelry), revision

Lab equipment detection limit 10ppm

Result: <10 ppm

This result means the equipment (with detection limit 10 ppm) can't detect the existence of lead (Pb). We can conclude that there possibly is zero to less than 10 ppm of lead in the product.
